Biography

As a registered nurse (RN), Charlene had the opportunity to serve patients in the transplant unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center and in the Medical-Surgical unit at Loma Linda's Murrieta Hospital. However, she felt that she could help patients in a larger way if she became a nurse practitioner (NP) and was allowed to make medical decisions that she knew were in the patients' best interest. Therefore, she went back to school at California Baptist University and became an NP. As an NP, she spent a year working in Women's Health, a year in Family Practice, and is currently serving patients in Endocrinology, specializing in diabetes and thyroid disorders.
