Biography

Dr. Amy Harrison grew up outside of Boston and then completed her undergraduate studies with a BA in Psychology from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.  She moved to Philadelphia to complete her medical training with an MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now under Drexel University). She then completed a Family Medicine Residency and Faculty Development Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University and has been working in Family Medicine education ever since. She has been board certified in Family Medicine since 1994. 

 

In 1995, Dr. Harrison moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota and helped start up a Family Medicine Residency there. She then moved to Chicago where she spent more than 21 years at MacNeal Family Medicine in Berwyn Illinois.  In addition to her interest in resident education, she has clinical interests and expertise in maternal-child health, women's health, and preventive health care. In July 2022, she started working for Seven Star at the Family Care clinics in Hemet and Menifee and their OB/GYN clinic in Hemet.  She is also currently the Associate Program Director for the KPC Health/Borrego Family Medicine Residency program in San Jacinto.
